Himachal Pradesh is one of  the most advanced socio-economic states with assuring growth not only in agriculture but also in other industrial services. Over the decades this state has shown emerging industries performing very well. Talking of the industries in HP, following are the main sectors –

Agricultural – which are both raw materials based and processed products based. Vegetation like rice, maize, fruits like apples, cash crops like potato, ginger which are sent to other states like Punjab, Haryana for production of ginger powder, potato flakes, chips etc and all have added to the country’s survival and growth. With advancing technology, machines and parts like seals, nuts and bolts, pipes etc used in the farms have also improved a lot.

HP is also famous for its processed foods like bakery items and Ghee, Butter, Paneer,Milk Shakes, Curd etc which are manufactured in Una, Hamirpur, Solan and other areas.

Horticulture – Blessed with a rich environment varying from sub-tropical to humid temperate and cold deserts, this state produces fruits like Apple, Mango, Plum, Pear, Peach, Apricot, Almond, Walnut, Orange, K-lime, Litichi, Guava and Aonala. These are sent all over the country and also exported and used for producing juices, jams, purees etc in factories spread all over Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi.
